EUROGEMS' participation in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO), 11 October 2025,
As part of the IGNITE-EUROGEMS project, members of the Ambassadors Team had the opportunity to put their STEM knowledge and practical skills into action by participating in international competitions hosted in Cyprus.
One of the highlights was their participation in the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) on 11 October 2025, where students engaged in a dynamic environment of innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving.
The competition provided an exciting platform for students to apply robotics, programming, and engineering concepts developed throughout the project, while also strengthening their confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills. By working on real-world challenges and competing alongside other talented young innovators, participants gained valuable hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of STEM in practice.
Their involvement in such prestigious events reflects the core mission of IGNITE-EUROGEMS: empowering young people, especially girls to explore STEM pathways, build leadership skills, and become active ambassadors of innovation within their communities.
Experiences like WRO not only inspire personal growth but also encourage a stronger culture of participation, ambition, and excellence in science and technology.
